This past weekend I had my girl’s weekend. Each year I have a group of women up to the cottage for a little wine, bonding and fun. Over the years I notice that our conversations have changed. When we first started this girl’s weekend we talked about our jobs, life experiences, our kids and our husbands. Now our conversation ranges from our grandchildren, restaurants, movies and our life experiences. But one thing has changed; we are starting to talk about our ailments. When did that happen? It’s the bad backs, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, arthritis and trouble sleeping. Oh the joys of maturing!
We may have talked about our ailments but that didn’t stop us from golfing, shopping and going on Great Big Mable.
