Day five on Trip to Sedona

Today I’m off early because I want to stop in daylight and get a picture of a place we had been the night before.  This was the Adobe studio of the late Joe Beeler, a famous Cowboy Artist in Arizona.   He used this Brick Adobe to do his paintings and Sculptors. It was located in the woods in the middle of Sedona. Friends had just moved into to the cabin the night before and we had been invited to a house warming.  I could see how this place would have inspired him. I loved this unique place and that fireplace.

Now I’m on to have a facial.  It was not in a spa so there is really no pictures to take. But when I came out of my facial one of our long time clients at Spa Sedona was waiting for me.  Brenda took me to lunch and then back to her home.  OMG!!!  This place was spectacular!  The view breath taking.  Thank you Brenda for letting me share your beautiful home.

Brenda joined us for a hike on Broken Arrow Trail.  If you come to Sedona you can hike everyday and never do the same trail. This hike took us 1 1/2 hours. If you don’t like to hike you can take a Pink Jeep Tour.  You can see the Pink Jeep in one of the pictures.  The one picture of me on the rock you can see the two Agave plants in the background, this is what they make Tequila from.   It’s the warmest day so far, I even had my coat off.

We grabbed a quick shower and off to Enchantment Resort for drinks at sunset.  Enchantment is one of the most unique Resorts in the world.  It’s built in a canyon and the rooms are Adobes built into the canyon wall.  Enchantment was one of the first places I stayed in Sedona.  They just put a $30 million dollar addition on. We met one of the best example of the hospitality  industry, her name was Lucy and she was our young bartender.  You could never imagine someone this young could made the BEST Margaritas ever! I had been disappointed with Enchantment because the Spa Manager at the Resort would not return my calls.  I told Lucy this and you could tell she too was disappointed. She picked up the phone and made some calls.  When I got home I got a call.  So often in the hospitality industry people will tell someone they did not have a good experience, they listen but they don’t do anything.  Lucy you are the best and you make a mean Martini!

Tomorrow I will be playing for favorite, Sedona Golf Club, maybe a little shopping and then ending the day at a real cowboy bar. I know you are probably disappointed I didn’t have any food pictures today, my phone battery ran out.  Tomorrow for sure.
