This morning I’m having coffee with Darlene and Lew. Then waiting outside their home for Susan Mountain Deer to pick me up.
Today is my spiritual journey to three of Sedona’s Vortexes with Cherokee Indian Guide, Susan Mountain Deer. Susan is also a Indian Medicine women. Our first stop is to Montezuma Well. At the Well we have a ceremony to let go of those things that do not service me any more. The idea is to throw those things away and let them flow out of the well.
Next we went to Chapel of the Holy Cross. This is the second Vortex and is where I get my inspiration on new things that I want in my life. We looked at the four pillars and the medicine wheel and the eagle. See if you can see the eagle to the left of the little tree in the second picture(you will have to enlarge it). Also the picture of me with Bell Rock in the background.
The blog won’t be complete without a picture of food. This is lunch at a very popular place in Uptown Sedona. It’s called Wild Flower Bakery and is know for it’s soups, salads and Sandwiches. For those who know I’m Gluten intolerant, I didn’t eat the bread! This is the Vegetable soup and Atlantic Salmon Caesar.
Next we went to a Medicine wheel on the Airport Mesa. This was the final ceremony. This is where I plant those things that I want to change in my life and let them grow.
We had spent 6 1/2 hours on this trip and at the end I felt like I had run a marathon. I felt drained but enlightened at the same time. This is an experience I will never forget. Thank you Susan.
Tomorrow I’m off to a spa to have a facial, I know…. but I’m comparing services. Then a hike and dinner at Enchantment.
See you tomorrow.
