The Snow Storm of January 2022

Living in Canada, we should expect a big snow storm now and then. “The Snow Storm of January 2022” will go down in history as one of the best. The thing I loved the most about that storm, was the next day. When the sun came out, the sky was a clear, cloudless, crystal blue, and it was magical… until I had to try to get out of my unplowed street.

Our big snow storm reminded me so much of the snow we used to get as a kid. Our farm was down a side road and when it snowed, my Dad would have to drive me up to the highway on the tractor to catch the school bus. That really impressed the boys on the bus – at least that’s what I told myself. It never mattered how much snow we got, we still had to go to school. There was no such thing as a “snow day”.

February has lots of things to look forward to: more restrictions lifted, Family Day, Valentine’s Day, and maybe another snow day.

New Beginnings for 2016

The holidays are over and we are into a new year. There are years that we are glad to see a new year and others that we are sad to see the end of the year. With the loss of my Mom this year it has been harder than others and I’m now looking forward the 2016 and new beginnings.

Spa Sedona will have some new beginnings in 2016, the birth of Bernadette’s baby which should arrive this month, a new product called Sublime Skin from [comfort zone] due out in January and a wedding for Nicole in August. These are all very exciting things for us.

So whether you are look forward to the New Year or not so much, there will always be new beginnings to be excited about. Happy New Year to all of you, and we look forward to taking care of you in 2016.

The Many Seasons Of My Life

I can’t help but feel that fall offers new beginnings; a chance to start fresh. As the temperature drops, leaves fall and sweater season commences, there is no doubting the powerful energy that the season of change offers.

I had a read about a year ago, by man who wore more rings than I own, just on one hand. He was a very wise man, he was a man that in many ways changed my life. I will never forget the things he told me, his assurance in my actions, my thoughts, my presence, it took a huge weight off of my shoulders. Knowing I was in the exact place I needed to be, brought me great peace.

I hadn’t been read again since last week when Sharon Bradley came for her monthly visit to Spa Sedona. I would consider myself to be a very open minded, spiritual person. I enjoy the feeling of being one with my body, mind and soul, and am always making sure that my decisions and actions align with how I feel and how they will evidently affect who I am. So, when I found out Sharon would be at the Spa, I knew I had to meet her.

If there were an intention for my reading, it would have been change, new beginnings and the pursuit of passions. Leaving behind what does not serve me and starting a new journey. After graduating university, a never ending job search, and life’s daily rollercoaster, Sharon’s reading could not have come at a better time.

I have never been afraid of change, in fact I kind of enjoy it, but it wasn’t until my reading that I began to understand the blessings that came along with it. Just like the seasons, my life will continue to change, shed, grow, evolve and write my story. There are times where you may feel stuck, stuck in a place of uncertainty, lack of success, frustration, and then change happens. It is the greatest blessing, being able to start fresh in either a new season or path.

Sharon gave me the power and ability to accept change in my life, to be open for what’s to come, and to leave behind what does not serve me. There will be many seasons in my life, and learning to accept and understand them as they are will be my biggest challenge, yet my most rewarding journey.
